We've made some updates to Modern event website URLs, redirecting them from "eventsair.site" to "eventsairsite.com" top level domains.

This change improves compatibility across organizations, particularly those with stricter website security policies related to newer domain extensions.

If you have a custom domain on your event website, please update your DNS records as soon as possible (see below).

Your event website remains completely secure, and your event website will be more universally available with a ".com" domain.

This will continue to re-direct automatically until June 2027 unless you have a custom domain event website (see below).

If don't have a custom domain as your event website, you may want to update the URL for any analytics services you're using, and in promotional materials (although the latter isn't necessary if you're happy to just rely on the redirect).

If you've added a custom domain to your event website here:

You need to update your custom domain's CNAME record by contacting your domain registrar.

Ask your IT team to contact your domain registrar (i.e. domain reseller) or log in directly to update the DNS settings and make the following change to your CNAME record.

You don't need to do anything regarding the A record.

Note that "eventsairsite" is all one word in the updated CNAME record.

Please note it may take several days for DNS record updates to take effect.

When this process has been correctly completed, you should be able to look in your event website settings, and see that the "Required Data" and "Current Data" columns match, and the "Current Data" details are green.
