Can you transfer my existing custom domain (URL) to my event website?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article refers to settings in the Legacy Event Website Builder. The Modern Event Website Builder is now available. Read more here.

We can, however there’s fee for this service. For more information, search for the related FAQ "Can you connect a custom domain (URL, website address) to my event(s)?”

Previously, an event-level custom domain was set in the Legacy Event Website Builder, but applied across the entire event (event website, registration sites, apps and portals from the EventsAir App Store). However, event-level custom domains are now available separately (under the Setup Panel, Event). Event websites built in the Modern builder need to have a domain that's different to the rest of the event.

Once you've reviewed costs and other background information:

1. In the ORIGINAL event (where your custom domain was previously attached), go to the Setup panel, Event (Custom Domain section).

2. Use the “Remove Custom Domain” button and select the “Save” button

3. Wait at least five minutes for the system to process the removal.

4. Follow the steps for “Enable Custom Domain" (as described in the related FAQ linked to above).

5. Your new domain request takes an average of two business days to be processed.
