The latest EventsAir release (Version 16.3.11) is due to be rolled out from Monday, May 25 and includes various improvements and resolutions.
🚀 What's new?
Dietary Requirements updates – new reports and “inactive” option
Want more dietary function reports?
You can easily see all contact details, dietary info and more, for anyone going to a function (whether a ‘host’ or ‘guest’), using the new "Function Guest Details by Function" and "Function Guest Details by Fee Type" reports.
Niche or duplicate Dietary Requirements?
You can now mark infrequently-used Dietary Requirements in your Application Setup library as “Inactive” (hiding them from future events while keeping historical attendee data and reporting) – and re-activate if needed.
Modern theme Interactive (registration) sites – further improvements!
Accommodation search, booking, and images improvements – visual improvements have been made to Accommodation search and custom field styling; Hotel search results now feature interactive carousels and expandable room details with lightbox images; and include integrated map links showing distance from event venue!
Other visual and image improvements - for faster site loading, file size restrictions and recommendations have been added for background images and logos; the dark filter has been removed from background images; the “Group” Booking Contact only switch has improved styling for visual consistency.
Better CAPTCHA error handling - If a site won’t submit due to a CAPTCHA issue, the page now automatically scrolls to the top so attendees can quickly identify and resolve the error.
Modern event website – extra social media links in widgets; Sandbox mode websites
More social media platform links now available:
You can configure the Speakers, Sponsors, and Exhibitors event website widgets to let site visitors directly click for Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube profiles (already in place for X, Facebook and LinkedIn links).
Sandbox events now use the Modern event website builder (for new sites)! Sandbox sites prefixed with "sandbox-[eventname]" to clearly distinguish them from standard mode event sites. They have restricted settings, and will expire 30 days from creation.
The EventsAir Academy lesson on event website building (in the “Ready For Take-Off/Basics” pathway) has also been updated to demonstrate Modern event websites.

Express Actions — Bulk Create and Bulk Change: Performance and reliability for large datasets have been improved. [Ref: PE-1975]
Attendee App – see separate release notes.
⚒️ Issues fixed
Application Setup – External Connections
In Attendee Verification, a Dynamics CRM Provider connection wouldn’t save due to an incorrect "Perform Account Lookup is required" error message. [Ref: AE-1667]
Communications Panel
Incorrect email content could be sent if a different Merge Doc was selected quickly before the previous one had finished loading. [Ref: AE-1637]
Express Actions Panel
Quick Exports failed to select records when the active filter included a tag-type custom field. [Ref: AE-1635]
Online Panel
Event Website (Modern)
Agenda widget
Presentation start and end times weren’t displayed or synchronized correctly with the Presentation setup page. [Ref: PE-1920]
Agenda & Speakers widgets
Co-author biographies were displaying inconsistently across the Agenda and Speaker widgets. [Ref: PE-2109]
Speakers widget
Session names for session roles weren’t displaying unless at least one presentation item was linked to the session. [Ref: PE-2114]
Profile session lists were ordered by time label (number) only instead actual chronological order. [Ref: PE-2115]
Online Panel - App Store
Group Registration App
The download template for group members contained incorrect and unknown data fields, preventing successful imports. [Ref: PE-2141]
Presentation Portal
Presenters couldn’t submit presentations due to a 'no response tag' error message on the Review page. [Ref: AE-1666]
Event Info Site
Content pages didn't save when adding or editing text in the HTML editor. [Ref: AE-1682]
Online Panel - Interactive (registration) sites
Editing & visibility settings
If the photo element was set to “read-only”, existing contacts returning via auto-login token were unable to submit. [Ref: AE-1648]
If 'thank you' page visibility was set to hidden or restricted by dates, the site would appear as though it hadn’t submitted properly (even though it had). [Ref: AE-1652]
Full agenda sessions
If someone registered for an agenda session that later became fully booked, it wasn’t possible to return to the site and update other information (site wouldn’t submit). [Ref: AE-1650]
Function Guest details editing
A site could be submitted even if required Function Guest details were missing (e.g. if name was removed by going back to the page from the Summary); [Refs: AE-1654; AE-1659]; this prevented the function item being correctly added to the contact record. [Ref: AE-1654]
Dropdown number with help text
Interactive sites wouldn't load when a dropdown list item contained both a numerical value and help text. [Ref: AE-1669]
Logic-related:
If a mandatory field was hidden by display logic, site visitors who couldn’t see the field still couldn’t progress further. [Such fields are now only mandatory if they’re visible to that site visitor]. [Refs: AE-1647, AE-1651]
If a component had Page Display logic based on Group Options and a different group option was selected later (by using “Edit” on the Summary page), information for existing and future group members was removed or hidden. [Ref: AE-1656]
If Page Display Logic was used on multiple pages with the same function, discounts on a fee type didn’t correctly apply if details were changed (and a different page with that function was displayed). [Refs: AE-868, AE-869]
Agenda Session component logic wasn’t respected (sessions remained visible). [Ref: ISAU-1374]
Sites didn’t load correctly if Part or Component logic was applied to hide (by default) a 'Dropdown List (Required)' field. [Ref: AE-1670]
If logic was applied to Registration type, based on group linking status (Group Member or Group Contact), logging in again later as the Group Contact wasn’t showing the Group Member amounts on the Summary Page. (However payments could still process correctly if there was a Payment Page.) [Ref: AE-1678]
Modern theme only - Show/hide logic wasn’t respected by some items and they were always visible: Agenda Sessions [Ref: ISAU-1370]; Photo component (Contact module) [Ref: ISAU-1371]
Modern theme only - Using logic to show/hide a text box within a registration type incorrectly hid the whole registration type. [Ref: ISAU-1373]
Miscellaneous
When returning to a site with “No option selected”, if another option was then selected, the “no option” wasn’t removed; if this was in a radio button group, the site couldn’t progress further. [Ref: AE-1643]
Due to a niche OnlineID error, site submissions didn’t create contact records despite payments being processed. [Ref: AE-1686]
Refreshing the browser on the Thank You page allowed site visitors to process duplicate, unlinked payments via EventsAir Pay with Stripe. [Ref: PE-2131]
Styling on Modern Theme Interactive (registration) sites
Checkbox amounts were misaligned relative to other options on the registration page. [Ref: ISAU-1324]
Checkbox and radio card labels did not update to the primary brand color when hovered. [Ref: ISAU-1265]
Checkbox labels failed to wrap correctly on mobile devices. [Ref: ISAU-1239]
Data Processing Consent and OnAir Visibility components displayed incorrect styling and alignment for edit buttons on the summary page. [Ref: ISAU-1231]
Horizontal spacing between checkbox or radio controls and their labels was inconsistent across various pages. [Ref: ISAU-1220]
Marketing tag checkbox labels wrapped incorrectly (before the full layout width was reached). [Ref: AE-1695]
Marketing tag radio button groups were visually merged into a single container, causing confusion when multiple selections appeared within the same group. [Ref: ISAU-1187]
Minor styling adjustments for Agenda Session checkboxes. [Ref: ISAU-1254]
Sequential guest name headings lacked sufficient spacing between forms on mobile and desktop views. [Ref: ISAU-1333]
Successive passenger cards in the Travel section displayed without a vertical gap between them. [Ref: ISAU-1345]
The Hotel Booking form displayed too widely when using the Full Page Layout. [Ref: ISAU-1339]
The 'To be confirmed' guest name option displayed an unnecessary bottom margin when selected. [Ref: ISAU-1279]
Payments - EventsAir Pay powered by Stripe
Tax percentages with multiple decimal places were incorrectly rounding down when saved. [Ref: PE-2128]
A rounding error prevented refunds from being processed via the payment gateway for specific combinations of payable items and taxes. [Ref: PE-2146]
Payment schedule reversals failed to include a quantity value on credit notes, causing issues with financial integrations. [Ref: PE-1213]
Reporting Panel
The Registration Packet and Exhibitor Meeting Documentation reports couldn’t be run, copied, or edited due to a system error. [Ref: SR-1483]
