Version 16.5.5 - September 21, 2026

The latest EventsAir release (Version 16.5.5) is due to be rolled out from Monday, September 21, 2026 and includes various improvements and resolutions.

📌 What's new and improved

Custom field search!

Need to go back to a Custom Field but can't remember which module you set it up in?

  • Search is now available for Custom Fields and Custom Field Tabs, making it easier for event planners to quickly locate and select specific custom fields or tabs.

Session name in Session Survey data

  • Session surveys now include the session name in both the raw data and the Excel exports, so you can easily identify which session each response belongs to.

Various panels - hover to read full text

  • Long names of items and tooltips are now easier to read across various areas, including the Alerts Panel (Accommodation Matrix), Express Actions, Communications and Reporting Panel. Truncated text can be viewed in full by hovering over it / some text is wrapped.

Attendee App EventStream - report option

  • Attendee App users can report posts or comments in EventStream (also covered in Attendee App release notes, see link below). Reported content is flagged in EventStream Manager

Communications Panel - EventStream Manager

  • You can now see if any posts/comments in EventStream have been reported by attendees. There’s a new "Review reported" checkbox in EventStream Manager, along with visual indicators so you can quickly identify and action reported content. Reported items are marked with a red flag, which turns gray once the content has been edited, to show it's been reviewed.

Attendee App release

Air Intelligence - Planner Assistant improvements

  • Beta period extended to November 1.

  • Prompt suggestions now on home screen. The home screen now shows suggested prompts - these rotate from a pool of possible questions to help get you started.

  • Menu now available from Planner Assistant landing page. The landing page had no sidebar, so a question had to be asked in order to see charts/dashboards. (Hamburger menu now sits in the top left of the landing page).

  • Planner Assistant opens on the event you're working on. The event picker now sorts your events by date proximity instead of alphabetically, and defaults to the one closest to today. Events that finished in the last 7 days stay near the top (making post-event wrap-up easier).

⚒️ Issues fixed

Attendees Panel

  • Filtering for a specific presentation role displayed all contacts assigned to that session, regardless of their individual role. [Ref: AE-2264]

  • If a negative value was entered in for "number of tickets" when manually adding a function item to a contact record, EventsAir would stop responding. [Ref: AE-2230]

  • If an attendee had logged into the Attendee App or accepted terms in an OnAIR session, deleting their account later incorrectly triggered a third-party processor notification email to the attendee themselves. [Ref: AE-2135]

Express Actions Panel

  • Large Contact Store exports could cause browser slowness or crashes. [Ref: AE-2152]

Online Panel

Interactive (registration) sites

  • If a site visitor updated information in any other module, confirmed accommodation bookings with empty Custom Field values were incorrectly changed to ‘amended’. [Ref: AE-2243]

  • Screen readers announced dropdown options as "Blank" when navigating searchable dropdowns using arrow keys. [Ref: AE-2163]

  • Screen reader users weren’t provided with the correct context or purpose when focusing on Marketing Tag dropdowns. [Ref: AE-2168]

  • When first added, multiple ‘no option selected’ parts in a Travel component incorrectly shared a single radio group, preventing ‘no option’ from being selected independently for each travel sector. [Ref: AE-2195]

Setup Panel

Event Preferences - Data privacy

  • If the third-party advice email "from" address was missing (based on either Office or Event Data Log settings), attendee deletion and anonymization wouldn’t complete. [The deletion process now continues even if the notification isn’t sent, with the issue recorded in the attendee’s Data Protection Log and raised as an alert.] [Ref: AE-2137]

Event Preferences - External Connections

  • For new users with custom roles, EventsAir Pay and PayPal accounts weren’t visible under External Connections until the accounts were re-saved in Application Setup. [Ref: PE-1035]

Accounting - invoice setup

  • If a non-default invoice group was used, exhibition items appeared on separate pages of pending invoices. [Ref: PE-2562]

Financial

  • Payment schedule items created in module setup were saved with an invoice date and a timestamp based on the computer's UTC offset instead of 00:00:00, which prevented the items from appearing on invoices until that time had passed. [Ref: AE-2222]

Presentations

  • Documents uploaded to a Presentation with the same file name as a previously uploaded document duplicated the original document’s contents. [Ref: AE-2255]

Travel

  • Letters included in flight numbers could appear inconsistently (sometimes lower case, sometimes upper case) in Merge Docs vs contact records. [Letters in flight numbers are now automatically capitalized when saved in travel bookings.] [Ref: PE-2560]

Planner Assistant

  • Deleted records were still appearing in some Planner Assistant answers, because its cache only picked up new and changed records. (Deletions now sync through, and data refreshes faster because Planner Assistant only pulls what has changed). [Ref: PA-799]

  • Content running past the edge of a chart panel was cut off with no scrollbar, so a wide table could only be read by exporting to CSV. Tables now scroll horizontally to every column, and axis labels stay readable when space is tight. [Ref: PA-578]

  • When an EventsAir user was deleted, any charts or dashboards they had published stayed visible to everyone in the account with no way to remove them. (Administrators can now delete charts and dashboards belonging to a deleted user.) [Ref: PA-580]

  • Chart sizes and positions were re-setting whenever you added a chart, removed one, or saved the dashboard. (Your arrangement is now stored against the dashboard and is there when you reopen it.) [Ref: PA-581]

  • Asking Planner Assistant to change a chart published by another user could over-write theirs. (Planner Assistant now creates a new chart for you to work on.) [Ref: PA-865]
