OnAir Portal analytics data is handled by a separate but linked system, as it's capturing vast amounts of information in real time. There may be slight discrepancies between OnAir analytics data and what's in the attendee record or in reports, because of how they both capture data.
The OnAir analytics works by constantly capturing most actions taken by an attendee while logged into the OnAir portal, whereas the session scan-in and scan-out reports work by only capturing an attendees scan-in and scan-out times if they happen within 5 minutes of the start or end of the session.
The session scan-in and -out reports will only record a single check-in and check-out per attendee, whereas OnAir analytics will record each time an attendee enters and exits a session. So if an attendee undocks, loses their connection, or goes back to the timeline multiple times, this can create multiple scan-in or out records.
To make this more manageable, some analytics reports within the OnAir portal will present this data for you in a more meaningful way. For example, the session attendance report will show you the first check-in and last check-out for an attendee as well as the total amount of time they spent in a session.

Therefore, as a result of the different ways they function and capture data, you may notice discrepancies between the session scan-in and -out reports when compared to the session scan-ins and -outs found in the OnAir Analytics.
