The latest EventsAir release (16.1.1) includes a number of improvements and resolutions to issues, as documented below, and will be rolled out from Tuesday 14th January.

EventsAir Public API changes

If you're a developer using the EventsAir public API, please check the Developer Portal for upcoming changes. This doesn't apply to customers with Smart Connector integrations, as these changes are already incorporated within your Smart Connector.

IMPROVED

Accounting Panel

  • Visual improvement - Text in the Budget table is now easier to read, and editable cells turn purple on hover so you can see them more clearly.

Attendees Panel

  • Group Inventory (Accommodation Sub Block - More detailed error message when attempting to create an accommodation sub-block of only one day (sub-blocks have to be across at least two dates).

  • Visual improvement - In UI uplifted version: Contact ID is displayed inside an attendee record.

Online Panel - Interactive Sites

  • Accommodation bookings - UPDATE: This improvement now requires additional coding and will be part of the next release. We apologize for any inconvenience. Attendees can now change accommodation booking dates with live availability checks; they no longer need to cancel and rebook if they want to edit/update.


PAYMENT GATEWAY CHANGES

• EventsAir Pay is available now, powered by either Stripe or Airwallex. If you’d still like to use an external third-party gateway, third-party gateway annual charges apply. A prompt to acknowledge these will appear when setting up payment gateways in Application Setup & in events (for first-time setup). This notice pop-up links to a page describing costs for your region, based on annual usage.

• Third party gateways you've been using on or after 1st October 2024 will be available for your events; you’ll just need to acknowledge the above charges the first time you configure a third-party gateway as above. Please talk to your Account Manager if you’d like more information, or want to configure a gateway that’s not showing in the available options. Please note we reserve the right to disable payment gateways if our Terms of Use are contravened. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk to our Support team or your Account Manager.

Attendees Panel

  • Search - "State" (as in geographic) column appears in Search view. [REF: PE-447]

Communications Panel
[CE Contact store event]

  • Planned Communications - Planned Communications that were filtered by “registered for CE Course today” weren’t picking up people who registered after a certain time on that day. [REF: PQ-205]

Express Actions Panel

  • Update Contact Store - The “Update Contact Store” Express Action button wasn’t working correctly (modal wasn't opening). [REF: PQ-582]

Online Panel

  • Attendee App - Meeting Notes couldn't be exported (other notes were fine). [REF: PQ-36]

  • Events website - The Event Website was auto-publishing whenever a new presentation was uploaded (via the Presentations Portal). [REF: PQ-477]

  • Interactive sites (Accommodation and Packages) - When registering a group, inventory for Accommodation and Packages items were only being checked for the first group member before registration (now checks for each group member). [REF: PQ-593, PQ-506, PQ-585]

  • Interactive sites (Accommodation) - Hotel booking status would change to Amended if any details were updated on a registration site (even if hotel bookings weren’t changed). [REF: PQ-575]

  • The ‘No Accommodation Required’ checkbox was automatically ticked if a room booking was removed, and then allowed attendees to book and pay for a room while the checkbox was ticked (which stopped it from being added to the record). [PQ-608]

  • Interactive Sites (EventsAir Pay - Payment page) - Payment pages included both EventsAir Pay and default “Submit” button, which sometimes caused double/unlinked payments. [Submit button now removed from Payment Pages where EventsAir Pay “Pay” button exists.] [REF: PE-444]

  • Interactive sites (logic) - Even when ‘less than’ [or ‘greater than’] logic was applied to a date field, it wasn’t making the user add an appropriate date. [REF PQ-591]

  • OnAIR Portal - The Control Room view of sessions streamed via AirCast RTMP wasn’t working. [REF: PQ-307]

Reporting Panel

  • Intermittent issue where some reports weren't showing properly. [REF: PQ-549]

Setup Panel

  • Functions & Exhibitions - At some screen sizes, objects added to a Table Plan (Functions) or Floor Plan (Exhibitions) couldn’t be edited later.[REF: PQ-574]

  • CE Courses - If Course Minimum Attendance was accidentally set to be more than Course Inventory, error message would display but setup would lock (preventing editing to fix the error). [REF: API-421]
