Different EventsAir Modes

Updated this week

EventsAir Mode

Your normal EventsAir environment, where you manage your live events, is also known as "EventsAir Mode", or "Standard" mode.

Sandbox and Certification Modes

You use the Sandbox mode to experiment and learn, and Certification mode to do your certification exam(s) as part of EventsAir Academy.

In Sandbox Mode, you can test new features, build practice events and explore options without impacting your normal event operations or registration inventories. Sandbox Mode is also where you can access and build events as part of your EventsAir online Education program.

If you're a Rising Star student, your Sandbox events will be created automatically. If not, just choose "New Sandbox Event" at the top right to create the Sandbox event you want. There are pre-built events with names or blank events.

Sandbox events can have a maximum of 100 attendees. If you try to add more attendees, you'll get an error message. You may need to delete some attendees from a sandbox event if you need to add more for your testing purposes.

In Sandbox Mode, all labels are gold/brown and all events are indicated with the label "Sandbox Mode".

Certification Mode is only used during the Education program, and only for exams. You can't create an event in Certification Mode. There is one event available for you to look at during your exam. The heading and labels will be in red.

To access Sandbox or Certification Mode:

Look under "Menu" - the Global Tools menu - in the top right for "Switch Modes" .

To get back to normal mode, select "Sandbox" or "Certification" (top left) and you'll return to the Mode Switcher.
