Version 16.1.6 - May 26, 2025

Updated this week

The latest EventsAir release (16.1.6) includes a number of improvements and resolutions to issues, as documented below. This release is being rolled out from Monday, May 26.

For further information on any of the notes below, please reach out to our support team.

Attendee Verification feature

This new feature will securely check (against your external database, in this case, Salesforce) and verify attendees as they register. Upon successful sign-in, their data will pre-populate into the registration interactive site. Salesforce is the first integration available, with others to follow. Please talk to your Account Manager for more information.

  • Attendee Verification allows contacts who are in your external database (e.g. Salesforce) to log into an interactive site and securely pre-fill their registration fields based on the information you already have.

  • You can also use the new Attendee Verification feature in combination with logic-based operations on your interactive sites to tailor the registration process. For example, based on information you already have in your Salesforce database, you can show only the relevant registration options, and pre-fill their information to make registering quick and easy.

Updated Help Site links

All old help articles have now been switched off, as they have been replaced with AirBot/Intercom help articles. Customers on earlier versions than V16 SP1 may have broken links, or may experience unexpected behavior on EventsAir Home page with the event list. If this applies, you can either resize the screen or update to the latest version.

ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

Attendee - Data Consent records

When consent is withdrawn via an interactive site or merge doc, two separate records are now saved in the data consent log - one for Data Consent Withdrawn, and one for Marketing Privacy Opt Out. [REF: PE-865]

Application Setup - New user email

Updated welcome email and instructions for new users. [REF: PE-866]

Security - Presentation-related portals

Improved detection of cross-site scripting (XSS) in text file uploads and improved output encoding of submitted abstracts. [REF: PE-871]

Meeting Matching - Multiple requests per timeslot

A new option in Registration Preferences has been added for "Number of meeting requests allowed per time slot". This allows multiple meeting requests in the same time slot. By default the new setting has a value of 1. The Meeting Diary tab in Registration and Exhibition has been updated to support multiple meeting requests (i.e. this feature is for manual requests made after Meeting Matching has been run.)
