THESE ARE ALL ARCHIVED MATERIALS AND WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME. THE ORIGINAL EXERCISES ARE NOT INCLUDED HERE.

To access the new EventsAir Academy, please use the "Learn" button at the top right of EventsAir.

NOTE: These videos were recorded prior to Version 16, so EventsAir looks a little different. The navigation bar is now on the left-hand side (instead of along the bottom of the screen).

The EventsAir Data Protection Toolkit is a set of features to help you address the increasing number of regulations regarding how personal data is collected and managed.

Although complying with data and privacy regulations will always be up to you and your organization, the Data Protection Toolkit offers valuable assistance in this area.

2A.6.1.1 Collecting Personal Data & Managing Consent

It's essential to let attendees know about your data privacy policies and how you manage their personal data – but this can be time-consuming and stressful.

This lesson will show you how to efficiently provide your data privacy policies to attendees and collect consent from them during registration (or afterward).

2A.6.2.1 Third Party Processors

Proper management of data privacy also includes how you share attendee data with third party processors, such as hotel vendors, travel agents, or other external organizations.

The Data Protection Toolkit lets you share attendee data with third party vendors in a way that:
- Records what was shared, when, and with whom
- Helps keep the data secure and only accessible by authorized people, and
- Makes it easy to ask third party processors to comply with any requests for personal data to be “forgotten” or deleted.

Learn how to set this up by watching the video below:

2A.6.3.1 Using the Contact Locator Tool

If an attendee wants to know what personal data you have collected about them, you should be able to give a prompt and accurate response.

The Contact Locator Tool is a powerful reporting system that can quickly provide this information, even across multiple events, including which third parties (if any) have had access to that data.

Watch the video below to see how it's done:

2A.6.4.1 Removing Attendee Data

Privacy and data regulations require you to put policies in place about how long you retain an attendee’s personal data, both in their individual record and as part of your overall event database.

To address this, the EventsAir Data Protection Toolkit helps you to remove or anonymize individual client records and provides an efficient way to properly archive an event while respecting the need to remove personal data.
